Work, Wages and Profits
Henry Gantt 1910
Henry Gantt (1861-1919) is best known for the "Gantt Chart", a name given by others to his scheduling and monitoring diagram. However, his fundamental contributions to project management were much broader in scope.
He maintained that the poor treatment of the workforce was ineffective, advocating tight synergy and goal-sharing between management and workforce in a way that foreshadowed the work of Douglas McGregor some fifty years later.
