Micro Planner, released on the Apple II platform, was the first commercially available project management software on a microcomputer. The first GUI based project management system on a microcomputer was a version of the same software, released in 1984 on the Apple Macintosh. The software, which is still developed today, is focused on the production of Critical Path Method and PERT schedules.
